Using Text Boxes
Using text boxes in a Documaker document is not recommended.
Important | If you do use text boxes, Studio will convert the contents of the text box, however all formatting inside the text box will be lost, and the actual text box will not be converted. |
Displaying Elements In Text Boxes in the Element Tree
If a document contains text boxes that include elements, these elements are displayed under a single node in the Element Tree.
Specifically, all elements within Word text boxes will be grouped together in alphabetical order under a single Text Frame node, regardless of the order that these elements appear in the document.
Example
A form document contains three Word text boxes. Each of these text boxes contains a Documaker element:
- The first text box contains a section element named MAIN
- The second text box contains a trigger element named LEGAL
- The third text box contains a graphic element named BOAT
These three elements will be displayed in alphabetical order, under a single Text Frame node, as follows:
